Cyberpunk 2077 Balatro Joker Scavenger Hunt Guide (Update 2.2)
Cyberpunk 2077’s Update 2.2 introduces a new and exciting crossover quest called the Balatro Joker Scavenger Hunt. In this quest, you’ll help a mysterious figure named Jim B track down 10 hidden Joker cards scattered across Night City. Each card is hidden in unique locations, offering a scavenger hunt that combines exploration, puzzle-solving, and rewards.

How to Begin the Balatro Joker Scavenger Hunt
The quest starts when Jim B contacts V via a phone call. There doesn’t appear to be a specific trigger for the call—just ensure your game is updated to Version 2.2 and wait for Jim B to call. Standing still or exploring the world naturally seems to work best, as fast traveling or time skipping doesn’t guarantee the call will trigger.
After the initial phone call, Jim B will send a text message explaining that a gang of rogue Jokers has scattered across Night City. He’ll challenge you to find all 10 cards hidden in specific locations, using picture clues he sends you as your guide. The hunt must be completed in order of clues sent, as skipping a Joker will result in the card not appearing.
Once you accept Jim B’s invitation, the hunt officially begins!
Balatro Joker Card Locations
To complete this quest, players need to find 10 Joker cards hidden across Night City. The exact locations of each card are provided below. It’s important to collect them in the order listed, as skipping ahead will prevent the cards from appearing.
Joker #1 – Ride the Bus
- Location: Westbrook, North Oak
- Clue: A rainy bus stop overlooking the city.
Travel to North Oak in Westbrook and find the bus stop along the freeway on the southern end of the area by the Columbarium. The Joker card is placed on a bench by the middle column of the bus stop.
Joker #2 – Golden Joker
- Location: Westbrook, North Oak
- Clue: A golden statue in a roundabout.
Head north from the first Joker to a roundabout with a golden statue in its center. The Joker card is located just behind the statue on the concrete platform it stands on.
Joker #3 – Lucky Cat
- Location: Watson, Little China
- Clue: A group of cat statues on a shelf.
Go to Misty’s Esoterica in Little China. Enter the shop. Take a left at the front counter and you’ll find the card on the floor to the left of the cat statues.
Joker #4 – Driver’s License
- Location: Heywood, Vista Del Rey
- Clue: A giant “D” (Delemain logo).
Go to the Delemain HQ building. Climb onto the roof using the air conditioning units, then head to the front of the building. Make your way to the northwest corner of the yellow wall with a Joker figure painted on it. The card is on the ground near the wall.
Joker #5 – Splash
- Location: Heywood, Wellsprings
- Clue: A body of water with a dock ladder.
From the Cannery Plaza fast travel point in Wellsprings, turn around and head toward the water. Near the dock ladder, you’ll find a Joker painted on the ground. Jump into the water and dive to the bottom to find the card among some garbage.
Joker #6 – Spare Trousers
- Location: City Center, Corpo Plaza
- Clue: A lit-up hallway.
Go to the the Jinguji clothing store in Corpo Plaza. Enter the store, go behind the giant Jinguji sign, and look on the floor near a Joker painting on the wall to find the card.
Joker #7 – Hologram
- Location: City Center, Corpo Plaza
- Clue: A glass dome.
In the City Center, make your way to the giant dome in the Arasaka Tower area. Climb the stairs on the west side to the top, walk onto the glass surface, and head to the center. The Joker card is surrounded by poker chips on the glass floor.
Joker #8 – Sixth Sense
- Location: Westbrook, Japan Town
- Clue: A metal foot.
Go to the Jig-Jig Street fast travel terminal and find the giant statue nearby. Climb to the top of the statue, and you’ll see the Joker painting on the inside of the right foot. The card is on the floor.
Joker #9 – Lusty Joker
- Location: Westbrook, Japan Town
- Clue: A neon-lit “24” sign.
From the Jig-Jig Street fast travel point, head under the pink Jig-Jig Street sign. Look for a building with neon red lips and a blue arrow. Enter, and you’ll find the card on the counter near the Joker painting.
Joker #10 – Ramen
- Location: Westbrook, Japan Town
- Clue: A dimly lit pink flamingo.
From the Jig-Jig Street fast travel terminal, walk away from it and head down the nearby staircase. Look for a 24-hour ramen shop halfway down the shop street. Inside, find the closed door with a Joker painting on it. The card is on the shelf behind the door.
How to Collect the Balatro Cyberpunk 2077 Rewards
After collecting the final Joker card, Jim B will call to inform you about the rewards he’s left for you.
- Joker of Night City – Joker Shirt: Look on the ground by the Ramen Joker location to find a gift box containing a Joker-themed shirt for your Inner Torso slot.
- Card Statue: Back in your apartment, above the couch, you’ll discover a glowing card statue featuring Johnny Silverhand, Jackie Wells, and Rogue Amendiares as face cards. This unique Balatro collaboration reward is a must-have collectible for fans of the game.
