Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Basim’s Challenge Guide
To celebrate the holiday season Ubisoft is hosting a special community challenge players can participate in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to earn Basim’s Sword. This challenge is fairly simple to complete and runs a total of one week from December 1-9. Taking part in this challenge will earn you the reward for your efforts. How to Unlock Basim’s Sword
The Basim’s Challenge is a community issued challenge players can find in Ubisoft Connect under Challenge > Time Limited. To complete this challenge the community as a whole must get a total of 250,000 kills with a One-Handed Sword. The objective is already complete with there being over 1+ million kills so far. This means you only have to put a little bit of work in to get the reward for yourself.
If you want to take part in the challenge and earn the sword for yourself all you need to do at this point is get a kill with a One-Handed Sword. Once you’ve done this navigate to the challenge menu and you will be able to claim the Basim’s Sword. This adds the Mythical Short Sword to your inventory.
Basim’s Sword has a Perk that increases attack when parrying and Speed after dodging. If both are done in quick succession the duration of the buffs increases. The base numbers are:
- Parry Duration: 5s.
- Dodge Duration: 3s.
- Increased Duration: 10s.
- Bonus: +10.0 Attack.
- Bonus: +2.0 Speed.
- Increased Bonus: +20.0 Attack.
- Increased Bonus: +4.0 Speed.
This weapon comes with three empty Rune slots. You can improve the base stats of the weapon by using resources in your inventory. These resources include Iron, Leather, and Titanium.
