In the tutorial area of Rygjafylke in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla you will find a number of World Events you can complete. These World Events are short little quests that reward you with materials or silver when finished. One of the World Events you will encounter in this area is called Old Man on the Edge. This World Event tasks you with helping a character named Old Harek dispose of his boxes over a cliff edge. To help you complete this task use our guide below.

Where to Find Old Man on the Edge

The Old Man on the Edge event can be found in the mountains along the northern border of Rygjafylke and Horafylke. At the location marked on the map above you will encounter Old Harek standing close to the edge. Around Harek there are a number of boxes. Approach Harek when you are ready to start the World Event and speak to him.

How to Complete Old Man on the Edge

When you speak to Old Harek he will tell you about his needing to throw his boxes over the edge because his kids don’t want what’s inside them. After this revelation head over to the boxes and pick up and throw each one over the edge. Once you’ve thrown all of the boxes you will trigger a cutscene during which Old Harek will jump over the edge as well. When Harek jumps this triggers the end of the World Event and you will get some XP and +1 Rygjafylke Mysteries.

If you feel like it you can climb down the mountain to Old Harek’s corpse below. You can loot his corpse for an item that you can sell if you feel like (not really worth the effort). The boxes of stuff are unfortunately no where to be found. I wanted those items.

This World Event is just one of many players can complete in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. For help with other quests you may stumble upon check our guide hub.
