Captain Wayne – Vacation Desperation includes several quirky achievements, and Quality Assurance is one of the easiest to miss. This achievement requires you to “taste your own Boom Brew,” a task the game never directly explains. In this guide, we’ll show you exactly how to trigger the effect and unlock the Quality Assurance achievement quickly and reliably.
How to Taste Own Boom Brew
You’ll first encounter the Boom Brew weapon about halfway through Area 01 – Keelhaul Compound, where it appears as the second weapon after the Shotgun. Picking it up adds it to your arsenal, allowing you to work toward the Quality Assurance achievement. If you already have the weapon, you can simply load a save where it’s available.
To unlock the achievement, you’ll need to “taste your own Boom Brew.” While the description is vague, the process is straightforward: reload your Boom Brew weapon (press R on PC or Y on GamePad) and let it explode in your hand. Note that this will kill your character, so be sure to create a save or proceed with caution before attempting the achievement.
