In the area of the Weeping Peninsula you may have encountered a walking building. At first glance it appears as if this building cannot be entered. Since this is Elden Ring that initial assumption is incorrect. To enter this walking building you first need to stop it. To learn more here’s how to stop the Walking Mausoleum in Elden Ring.

Stop the Walking Building in Weeping Peninsula

You will encounter Walking Mausoleum’s in various locations, including here.

In the Weeping Peninsula at the map marker shown above there is a building that walks around. This building is called the Walking Mausoleum. Before you can enter it you need to make it stop. The game provides a hint for what to do through the merchant called the Isolated Merchant who lives southwest of the mausoleum. He sells a clue which states you need to clean up the area around the Walking Mausoleum’s feet before it will stop.

Cleaning up around the Walking Mausoleum’s feet is a bit nebulous, but the process is simple. Go to the Walking Mausoleum and look at its feet. You will see there are white skull clusters on them. Use a weapon to smack them off. Once you’ve cleaned a good chunk of them of the feet the mausoleum will stop and lower.

When you enter the Walking Mausoleum you will notice a body in front of you. Approach this body and you will be prompted to interact with it. This brings up the Remembrance Duplication screen which allows you to duplicate remembrances you have.
