How to Access Resident Evil Village Pre-Order and Deluxe Edition Items

One of the Resident Evil Village pre-order items.

Resident Evil Village rewards players with exclusive bonuses for pre-ordering or purchasing the Deluxe Edition. These extras include the powerful Samurai Edge AW Model-01 pistol, the “Village of Shadows” difficulty, and cosmetic items like the Mr. Everywhere charm. If you’ve picked up one of these editions, here’s a comprehensive guide to help you unlock and access all your pre-order and Deluxe Edition items.

Unlocking Pre-Order and Deluxe Edition Bonuses in Resident Evil Village

Before diving in, make sure you’ve downloaded the necessary DLCs associated with your pre-order or Deluxe Edition purchase from the platform’s store. After installation, launch the game to begin unlocking your items.

Here’s how to access each bonus:

  • Samurai Edge Pistol (AW Model-01): Progress the story until you meet Duke (the merchant). You can buy this weapon from him using Lei.
  • Mr. Everywhere Weapon Charm: Visit Duke after progressing the story. He’ll give you this charm for free.
  • Survival Resources Pack: Also available from Duke, and it’s free of charge.
  • Resident Evil 7 Filter: Toggle this nostalgic filter on or off in the Options Menu under the “Special” section.
  • Tape Recorder Save Point: Found in the Special tab of the Options Menu, similar to the RE7 filter.
  • “Go Tell Aunt Rhody” Music Track: Available in the Special tab in the Options Menu.
  • “Tragedy of Ethan Winters” Concept Art: View this bonus item in the Bonuses section on the main menu.
  • Baker Incident Report: Also accessible in the Bonuses section of the main menu.
  • Village of Shadows Difficulty: This ultra-difficult mode is unlocked immediately. You can enable it when starting a new game.

Are These Bonuses Worth It?

While many of these bonuses, such as filters and concept art, are cosmetic or purely for novelty, a few items are practical:

  • Samurai Edge Pistol: This weapon is a handy early-game upgrade, offering solid firepower and a touch of nostalgia for longtime fans.
  • Survival Resources Pack: Provides a small advantage in the early game by stocking you up with supplies.
  • Village of Shadows Difficulty: For those seeking the ultimate challenge, this difficulty level offers a fresh and demanding gameplay experience.

Claiming your pre-order and Deluxe Edition items in Resident Evil Village is a straightforward process. While some bonuses serve as fun nods to the franchise’s history, others, like the Samurai Edge pistol and Survival Resources Pack, can provide valuable assistance during your journey.

Resident Evil Village is filled with valuable treasures, powerful weapons, and challenging puzzles to uncover. If you’re hunting for riches, don’t miss out on the Beneviento Treasure, a high-value reward guarded by a formidable enemy. Looking to upgrade your arsenal? You have to hit down when you’re hovering over the game, go to the playstation store thing, hit addons, then download the pack.

Game won’t let me access the special tab in the option menu. It is greyed out, and yes I downloaded the pre order code.
