A major part of the Harry Potter series is flying around on a broomstick. This element of the series is available for players to use in Hogwarts Legacy but it is a bit hidden. When Do You Get a Broom?

The first question about the Broom that you probably have is when can you get one. Well the answer to that question is once you’ve advanced the the main storyline up to the class called “Flying Class” which occurs about 5ish hours into the game. This class teaches you how to fly and ride around the open world using a Broom.

Where to Get a Flying Broom?

After you’ve completed Flying Class you will be told that you can now purchase a Broom. The easiest way to do that is go to Hogsmeade. In Hogsmeade there is a store called Spintwitches Sporting Needs shop which sells brooms. Head into the shop and speak to Albie Weekes to view his inventory. He sells a variety of Brooms for 600 Galleons each.

Upon purchasing a Broom from Albie he tells you that he can upgrade them for you. This unlocks the Flight Test side quest that takes place at the Quidditch Pitch.

How to Use the Broom

When you’ve purchased a Broom to use you are able to summon it whenever you’d like. This can be done by opening the Items menu and pressing whatever platform button your Broom is slotted to. Keep in mind that you can only use your Broom in designated areas. When you are not permitted a symbol appears on your HUD above the Items next to your mini-map.
