Assassin’s Creed Valhalla A Challenge From the Gods Guide

In update 1.2.2 of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla there was a new quest added called A Challenge from the Gods. This quest tasks high-level players with completing special trials for a new NPC in Ravensthorpe. How to Start A Challenge From the Gods

There are a few requirements you need to meet before you can play this quest. The first requirement is to be above Power Level 221. The second requirement is to have completed the Uninvited Guests main story quest. Once you have both requirements completed this quest will become available to you.

To start the quest head to the Ravensthorpe settlement. To the east of the settlement you will find a quest marker. Go to this marker to trigger a cutscene. During the cutscene a comet will strike the ground. After the cutscene head over to the old woman and speak to her to learn about the mysterious door.

Talk to Hildiran the Fight Her Twice

Once you have control of Eivor again you will be outside a new building. Approach Hildiran behind the building and speak to her. She will tell you about the Shrine of Freyja. After this interaction there will be a fist fight. Complete the fight to trigger another cutscene. After this cutscene you will need to fight Hildiran again in a more difficult boss battle. Defeat her to receive the item needed to activate the Freyja Shrines.

Meditate at the Indicated Shrine and Complete 3x Challenges For Bronze

Now that you have the medallion to activate shrines, you need to go complete one. The game marks the shrine on your map so head there now (in Scriopescire). At the shrine approach it and interact with it to meditate at it. Upon meditating you need to finish one of the three trials:

• Bear (Combat).
• Wolf (Rage).
• Raven (Stealth).

Pick whichever trial you wish and complete it. Some things to keep in mind are that you do not use your own equipment or builds in the trials. Instead they are pre-selected for you.

Make sure you reach at least the bronze level for the mastery challenge. Do the other two so you earn two more bronze medals. Head back to Hildiran in Ravensthorpe when you have the three bronze medals. Upon returning you will gain access to the shop for Mastery Challenges. You will also complete the quest and will unlock a new one called The Cryptic Tutelage of Hildiran.
