Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 Guide – Basement

Basement
After you fall through the first vent in the Mommy Long Legs chase you will arrive in the Basement. There will be a shutter behind you marked Emergency Exit with a lever. We cant go through the door just yet, but we will come back here later.
Optional Collectible
- On the ground by the Emergency Exit shutter is the Warrenbach Construction Letter [5/7].
Turn around from the shutter and go down the hallway. Open the door and continue forward until you reach Bay 2 which features a locked gate and 4 colored levers.
How to Complete the Bay 2 Lever Puzzle
In Bay 2, you’ll see four colored switches—two on each wall. To open the gate, you need to pull the switches in the correct order.
To figure out the order, head to the middle of the room and look up for a hole in the ceiling. Grapple up into this hole (you’ll need to remember this spot for later).
While you’re up there, look around in the ceiling to see four battery packs, each labeled with a number for its corresponding color. The correct order is:
- Red
- Blue
- Green
- Yellow
Once you’ve noted the order, pull the levers in the correct color sequence to open the gate. Then, head down the hallway. Mommy Long Legs will appear.
Quickly run back to Bay 2 and grapple back up into the ceiling hole. Stay there until she passes. Once she’s gone, return to the hallway where she appeared and continue forward until you reach the next room with a large furnace.
How to Complete the Missing Cog in Furnace Room Puzzle
In the Furnace Room you need to make a new cog to use to open the closed shutter marked 05. To do this you need to use the furnace in the room.
Start by grabbing the red Gear Mold off the shelf to your left. Go up the furnace stairs and place the mold in the slot. Return back below.
Use a Green Hand charge to power up the furnace. It will heat up and then the finish. When safe, use your hands to open the furnace doors. Go inside and grab the Gear.
Take the Gear and place it in the slot beside the lever next to the 05 Shutter. Use the lever to open the shutter.
Go through the open shutter. Make your way forward until you see Mommy Long Legs on the wall. Turn around and run to the Furnace Room.
Charge you Green Hand then use it on the furnace. Run inside and wait there. Mommy Long Legs will try and get in but will eventually go away.
Mommy Long Legs Chase #2
Leave the furnace and go back down the 05 hallway. Continue forward until you see a lever on your left. When you go to use this lever, Mommy Long Legs will start chasing you.

At the end of the chase you will end up in a long hallway. Run down the hallway and use your Blue Hand on the sensor over the closed shutter to open it.
Run into the room with the grinder and pull the lever to the right of it. This will trigger a cutscene where Mommy Long Legs goes into the grinder and a mysterious hand then takes her body away.
Back to the Game Station
Turn and go through the door. Head into Bay 09. Follow the steps forward until you reach the top. At the top go through the door to enter into the Game Station.
Optional Collectible
- Near the top of the stairs you will find the Log 08502 VHS Tape [6/6] beside the VCR that can play it.
