Update 2.5, the free Edgerunners 2 Update for Cyberpunk 2077, adds a new side quest called Welcome to Paradise. The quest sends you on a guided tour of Night City narrated by Richard Night, the city’s founder, and has you uncover a mystery along the way.

How to Unlock Welcome to Paradise in Cyberpunk 2077
Welcome to Paradise doesn’t show up right away. To unlock the quest, you need to do the following:
- Complete The Heist main job.
- Reach Street Cred level 15.
- Wait for Aera to contact you, then agree to help her.
Welcome to Paradise Walkthrough
Once Welcome to Paradise is available, you will receive a text message from Aera. Read the message, then call her.
Aera explains that her sister, Haze, stole a Shard and then disappeared. She wants you to find both Haze and the Shard. Agree to help to start the quest.
Look for Haze’s Stolen Shard
Make your way to Kabuki, Watson, and head to the quest objective there. The nearest fast travel point is Creek Loop.
At the objective marker, search the area for the Shard. A piece of sheet metal stands vertically in front of a pipe. Move the sheet metal to reveal the Shard inside the pipe.
Slot the Shard
Pick up the Shard and V will automatically slot it. This starts the guided tour of Night City with Richard Night.
Call Aera
After listening to the Shard, call Aera. She explains that she needs you to do this for her because she cannot afford to slot the Shard herself.
Go to the Night Corp Tour Stop
After the phone call, you will receive the first tour location. Head to Downtown, City Center, near the Halsey & MLK fast travel point.
Take the elevator up to the third floor, then follow the walkway to the Night Corp Tower tour terminal and interact with it.
Listen to the Tour
When you interact with the terminal, a hologram of Richard Night will appear. Listen to what he has to say.
Connect to the Drone
After Richard finishes speaking, look up at the nearby drone and interact with it to connect.
Listen to the Tour
The next section is largely on rails. Connected to the drone, you will fly around Night City while Richard Night narrates and offers to share additional stories about the location.
Go to the Corpo Plaza Tour Stop
Go back to the elevator and head down to street level. Make your way to Corpo Plaza in City Center, near the Arasaka Tower fast travel point.
Start the Corpo Plaza Tour
Head to the tour terminal. This one is slightly broken, but interact with it and Richard will speak to you again.
Call Aera to Update Her on the Situation
After this tour stop, call Aera again to update her on the Shard and the tour.
Go to the Arasaka Memorial Tour Stop and Listen to the Tour
Leave Corpo Plaza and head to the nearby Arasaka Memorial. Interact with the tour terminal there.
When prompted, walk over to Richard to continue listening to the tour.
Go to the City Hall Tour Stop and Listen to the Tour
Leave the area and head to City Hall in The Glen, Heywood, near the Palms View Way fast travel point.
At this location, interact with the tour terminal, then connect to the drone when prompted.
This is the same drone experience as earlier, except gangs start fighting in the streets below while Richard speaks.
Disconnect from the drone when Richard is done speaking.
Go to the Biotechnica Farm Tour Stop and Listen to the Tour
The next tour stop is Biotechnica Farms. Head there, interact with the tour terminal, and listen to the tour.
Discuss the Situation with Aera
When the tour is over, Aera will call you to discuss the situation.
Go to the NCART Tour Stop and Listen to the Tour
Make your way to the NCART tour terminal. Interact with it, then follow Richard as he walks around the area.
Decrypt the Tour Shard
Once Richard finishes speaking, you need to decrypt the tour Shard. Open your menu and go to Shards.
On the Shards screen, scroll down to Encrypted and select the NC Revitalization Project – Identity Cache. Choose Crack Security and complete the hack.
Go to the Coronado Dam Tour Stop, Defeat the Enemies, and Listen to the Tour
Head to Coronado Dam. Enemies are waiting near the tour stop. Defeat them, then use the terminal.
Jump over the railing and stand by Richard to hear the rest of his talk.
Go to the Med Center Tour Stop and Listen to the Tour
Make your way to the Med Center. Interact with the terminal to listen to the next part of the tour.
Call Aera to Update Her on the Situation
After listening at the Med Center tour stop, call Aera and tell her what is going on.
Look for Clues in the Tour Shard
Once the call is done, open your Shards and read the NC Revitalization Project – Identity Cache.
Close the Shard when you are done reading to reveal the final stop on the tour.
Go to the Kabuki Tour Stop and Listen to the Tour
Make your way to the Kabuki tour stop and interact with the terminal there to hear Richard again.
Look for Haze Around the Bridge
Make your way to the bridge by following the quest objective markers. Head forward until you encounter some kids and a body.
Walk past the body and turn right. Look down at the beach below and you will see Militech soldiers.
Go down to the beach, kill the soldiers, and look for Haze’s body near where they were standing.
Get the Shard and Scan Haze’s Body
Grab the Shard beside Haze’s body and read it. Then scan Haze’s face.
Message Aera and Meet Her
Message Aera after finding Haze. Meet her at the nearby basketball court. Wait there if she has not arrived yet.
Decide What to Do with the Shard
When you meet, Aera asks for Haze’s Shard. You can give her the Shard or refuse. If you hand it over, she thanks you and sets out to continue Haze’s work, even though it puts her in danger. If you refuse, she is angry and tells you never to contact her again. Either way, Aera pays you and the quest ends.
Welcome to Paradise Rewards
The rewards you get for completing Welcome to Paradise are:
- 1,050 credits
