Crystalised Mound | Hollow Knight Guide
The Crystalised Mound is a special sub-area players can visit in Hollow Knight via the Crystal Peak. Players must traverse this area to reach the Resting Grounds. How to Go to the Crystalised Mound
The Crystalised Mound is accessible through the Crystal Peak. It can be accessed after you’ve acquired the Crystal Heart Ability. Head to the map location above to find a hut you can enter to reach the area. There is no map for this location.
Upon entering the hut walk right and stand on the ground that shakes. Use Desolate Dive to hit the bridge and break it. You will fall down to the area below. This is the start of the sub-area.
Walk to the right and break the wood blocking your path. Complete the platforming sequence leading up and to the right.
Grub
Make your way up in this room until you reach a platform with a torch on it. To the right is a platforms going up and platforms going to the left.
Go up the path to the right. At the top you will find a Grub on a ledge. Free it to collect a Grub (14/46).
Head back down to the platform with the torch on it. Go left along the path there. Jump up to the area above the ability unlock room. When ready, destroy the wood blocking the way and drop down into the room below.
Descending Dark Ability
In this room you will find a Snail Shaman encased in crystals. Strike the crystals with your Nail until it breaks. Upon breaking it you will receive the Descending Dark Ability. This ability upgrades Desolate Dive.
Reaching the Resting Grounds
Head left and destroy the wood blocking your path. Jump across the hole and leave the hut area. Outside of the hut go left to the large gap we crossed earlier using the Crystal Heart Ability.
Instead of crossing it, drop down the large pit to so you fall down into the Resting Grounds below.
