What a Mess Talk to the Plants Guide – Control Side Quest

In Control there are a number of side quests for players to complete to unlock mods, materials, and even ability points. These side quests come from various sources including the Janitor. In fact the Janitor has a number of side quests for players to complete. One side quest from the Janitor’s board tasks you with talking to plants. Use our What a Mess Talk to the Plants guide to do just that.

Plant Locations in Central Research

To start make your way to the Central Research area. In this area there are a total of six plants for you to talk to. To talk to the plants simply walk up to them and hit the interact button. This causes Jesse to speak with them briefly. Once you’ve talked to all six you will receive 4 ability points, some materials, and mods.

Plant Location 1: Outside Washroom

The first plant can be found on the ground floor just outside the washroom entrance by the cafeteria and the quote from Dr. Theodore Ash.

Plant Location 2: Next to Stairs

The second plant can be located on the ground floor near the stairs heading up to the next level. From the cafeteria entrance head left and you will find the plant.

Plant Location 3: By Ground Floor Shelter

Head past plant 2 and make your way towards the Shelter located on the ground floor. The third plant can be found on the wall opposite the Shelter.

Plant Location 4: Desk Outside Parapsychology Entrance

Just outside the entrance to Parapsychology there is a desk. Beside the desk is a plant you can speak to.

Plant Location 5: By Entrance to Sector Elevator

The fifth plant can be found by the desk just outside the entry way for the Sector Elevator.

Plant Location 6: Outside Dr. Darling’s Office

The sixth and final plant can be found outside Dr. Darling’s Office which is located at the very top of the Central Research area.

Once you’ve spoken with all the plants the side quest will end. You will receive 4 Ability Points, some resources, and a mod for your troubles. Way to go plant whisperer.
