Update 1.05 Story now online in Red Dead Redemption Online
In Update 1.05, Rockstar turned on their in-game store.

Following last weeks update, RDR2 Update 1.05 is less about tweaks and more about fixes and additions. In 1.05 Rockstar focused on addressing general improvements to fix game stability, save data and to address exploits. Oh and they flipped the switch on the in-game store. Here’s what this update was all about:

  • General improvements to fix game stability, save data and to address exploits.
  • Online store for RDO’s ingame currency is now accessible in-game. You can now purchase various denominations of Gold Bars for real currency.

Alongside these additions and fixes, Rockstar is continuing to shower players with gifts. Those that played RDO between launch and Thursday, December 20th will receive 15 additional Gold Bars. They are also giving away RDO$ to the different edition and preorder owners:

  • Special Edition Owners: RDO$100
  • Ultimate Edition Owners: RDO$1,000
  • Everyone who pre-ordered: RDO$100 (in addition to Ultimate and Special Edition gifts)

You should see these gifts start to pop up in your account over the next few days.

December 6, 2018: Update 1.04

Tweaking weapon prices was a major focus of this update.

The first update for Red Dead Online was released on December 6, 2018. This update was “geared towards creating a more balanced, fun and rewarding overall experience, across all modes and missions.” Notable changes in this update included the following:

  • Value overhaul across a number of categories including horse revivers, pelts, skins and fish.
  • Lowering of weapon prices across a number of weapons. Weapon prices dropped by up to 40% in some cases.
  • Change to the cash and gold payouts of different activities including Free Roam Missions, Free Roam Events, replays of A Land of Opportunities Missions, Showdown Series and more.
  • General improvements to fix game stability, save data and to address exploits.

Alongside the announcement of these changes, Rockstar also revealed that they would be giving out bonuses to players that played the RDO Beta before the patch release would be getting RDO$250 and 15 Gold Bars.

We will be adding more to this list as more RDO updates are released. Be sure to check back soon!
