How to Go to Consecrated Snowfields in Elden Ring
When you’ve revealed the majority of the map in Elden Ring you may notice a large section in the north is missing. This snowy, optional area, is home to a variety of tough enemies, boss fights, and items. It is well worth exploring this secret area when you get the chance. To get to the Consecrated Snowfields area you need to find a special medallion called the Haligtree Secret Medallion. This medallion is in two parts: Right and Left. You need to advance through much of the game before you can acquire both pieces.
How to Get the Haligtree Secret Medallion (Right)
The first piece of the medallion we can collect is the right piece. This piece is located inside the Village of the Albinaurics in the southwest corner of Liurnia. Make your way to the village and go to the Village of the Albinaurics Site of Grace located in the shack next to the suspension bridge.
From this area head to the east up the hill. Defeat the enemy at the top of the hill, don’t cross the bridge, instead continue heading to the east. You will eventually see a pot in front of you on your right. Destroy this pot to reveal an NPC. Speak to this NPC and she will give your the Haligtree Secret Medallion (Right).
How to Get the Haligtree Secret Medallion (Left)
The Haligtree Secret Medallion (Left) piece can be acquired much further in the game. Once you reach the region called the Mountaintops of the Giants you can access a castle called Castle Sol in the very north part. This castle houses the Haligtree Secret Medallion (Left).
To get the medallion reach the top of the castle and defeat the boss called Commander Niall. Once Niall is defeated go north through the boss room. Take a right into the building you see and ride the elevator up to the roof. Go east up the stairs and you will find the Haligtree Secret Medallion (Left) next to the apparition at the edge of the castle roof.
Where to Use the Haligtree Secret Medallion
Once you have both of the Haligtree Secret Medallion pieces you can use the medallion. To do this make your way to the Grand Lift of Rold in the Mountaintops of the Giants. This lift is the one used to access the Mountaintops of the Giants region. At the lift you will be prompted to scroll right or left. Do this so you get the prompt that says Hoist Secret Medallion. Push the prompted button to head to the new location. Make your way through the tombs to reach the Consecrated Snowfields.
In this area you can access two other locations: Mohgwyn Palace and Miquella’s Haligtree. Both of these locations feature special boss fights for players to complete against Mohg, Lord of Blood and Malenia, Blade of Miquella.
