Chernobylite will launch on PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store) on July 28th, 2021. The console version of the game for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be coming sometime later in the summer of 2021. The game’s retail price is $29.99 USD. You can wishlist or purchase the game now on PC.

If you know nothing about this title it is an interesting science-fiction survival horror RPG set in the real-world location of Chernobyl’s Exclusion Zone. What is interesting about the title is that the setting is a hyper-realistic, 3D-scanned environment. This makes it look and feel like you are actually exploring the zone.

Location aside story-wise you play as Igor, a former employee of the Chernobyl Power Plant that suffered the melt down. Igor is searching for his missing fiancé who disappeared 30 years earlier. Unfortunately for Igor the zone is now overrun with a variety of enemies. Igor will fight enemies that include other stalkers, military, and supernatural forces. To survive in the zone Igor will use a variety of mechanics including stealth, survival, base building, resource management and more.

If the above gameplay interests you I recommend giving the Chernobylite release trailer a watch. You can also check out the Chernobylite official website for more information. Give me your thoughts on the game in the comments below.
