See the official Salt and Sacrifice reveal trailer below.
Salt and Sacrifice Announcement Trailer
The trailer was first shown during Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest. This trailer shows a familiar art style but a variety of new gameplay elements. One of the biggest additions in the sequel is the addition of co-op gameplay. This system allows you and a friend to jump into a game together to dispatch enemies and advance the mysterious story.
Alongside the reveal of co-op there are a number of more subtle additions coming. There is a new era and region to explore. A new role dubbed the Marked Inquisitor to play as. New enemies and bosses to fight, and a slew of new weapons and armor sets to collect.
Having played the original title, I am looking forward to seeing what Ska Studios does with their ambitious sequel. Studio head James Silva released a PlayStation Blog post about the reveal that is well worth a read.
Salt And Sacrifice is coming to PC and PlayStation 4+5 in early 2022. No exact release date besides the release window has been shared yet.
