Fine Art Collector Program Tiers

The free rewards available in the Fine Art Collector Program are split into three distinct tiers. The requirements and payouts scale up based on your involvement:

• Enthusiast: Log in between June 18 and July 13. (Rewards: GTA$500,000 + free Benefactor Turreted Limo)
• Patron: Complete any Heist finale by July 13. (Rewards: GTA$1,000,000 + the NOOSE Outfit)
• Elitist: Own a Mansion and log in during the event. (Rewards: Free Annihilator Stealth helicopter, a custom Sculpture, and a GTA$1,000,000 discount on the upcoming Art Studio upgrade)

Each tier has its own specific milestones you must hit before the July 13th deadline to lock in the rewards.

How to Unlock Tier 1 Enthusiast Rewards

The first and easiest tier to clear is Tier 1: Enthusiast. All you have to do is log into GTA Online between June 18 and July 13 to score a free GTA$500,000 and a complimentary Benefactor Turreted Limo from Warstock Cache & Carry.

Note: If you already own this vehicle, you cannot claim it again.

The cash will hit your Maze Bank account automatically within 72 hours. To grab the limo, just head over to the Warstock Cache & Carry website in-game and claim it for free.

Keep in mind that this is a Pegasus vehicle, meaning you’ll need to call it in when you want to use it—you can’t store it in your personal garage.

How to Unlock Tier 2 Patron Rewards

The second level up is Tier 2: Patron, and it requires a bit more legwork than the first. To unlock this tier’s goodies, you just need to complete any GTA Online Heist finale between June 18 and July 13.

Doing so will land you a cool GTA$1,000,000 bonus and the highly coveted NOOSE Outfit.

It’s important to know what actually counts as a heist here. Any of the mainline heists qualify—and yes, just hopping into someone else’s finale counts.

However, “mini-heists” like The Cluckin’ Bell Farm Raid, Auto Shop Contracts, or Salvage Yard Robberies do not count.

If you’re a solo player, your best bet is to grind out a Cayo Perico Heist. Alternatively, you can grab a single friend and knock out The Fleeca Job real quick.

Once you finish, the cash will hit your bank account within 72 hours. You can find your new tactical gear waiting in your wardrobe under Outfits: Law Enforcement.

How to Unlock Tier 3 Elitist Rewards

The last tier, Tier 3: Elitist, is simple to unlock. All you need to do is own a Mansion Property and login sometime between The final level is Tier 3: Elitist, and it’s incredibly simple to unlock. All you need to do is own a Mansion property and log into the game sometime between June 18 and July 13.

Tapping into this luxury tier unlocks a handful of high-end rewards. Here is exactly what you get:

• Annihilator Stealth: A completely free stealth helicopter.
• Art Studio Discount: A GTA$1,000,000 discount on the upcoming Art Studio mansion addition.
• Exclusive Decor: A unique sculpture and a custom painting for your property.

Just make sure you log in during the event window to secure your eligibility. These rewards will officially unlock and become available to claim as soon as The Kortz Center Heist DLC drops in July.

Knocking out all of these tiers should only take a few hours of your time if you’re a regular GTA Online player.

1. Basic Skin

The first skin in the game is the Basic Skin. This skin is unlocked by default as it is the original look of The Penitent One.

2. Second Psalm

The second skin in the game is the Second Psalm. This skin is unlocked by completing the normal ending of the game (Ending B). Choose Deny when prompted to use the Incense of the Envoys (if you have it).

3. Apostate Blood

The third skin in the game is Apostate Blood. This skin is unlocked automatically when you download The Third Sin DLC.

4. Light and Time

The fourth skin in the game is Light and Time. This skin is unlocked by completing the secret ending of the game (Ending A). Choose Give when prompted to use the Incense of the Envoys (if you have it).

5. Perfidy

The fifth skin in the game is Perfidy. You need to find this skin out in the world. To do that go to the room I have highlighted in the Elevated Temples. The skin is on the top most platform by the Prie Dieu exit.

6. Atonement

The sixth skin in the game is Atonement. You need to find this skin out in the world. To do that go to the room I have marked in the Two Moons. The skin is to the left of the top of the ladder.

7. The Third Sin

The seventh skin in the game is The Third Sin. To unlock this skin you need to complete The Third Sin DLC. Upon defeating Crescenia, Duchess of the Sleeping Face, you will receive this skin.

8. Penance of Virtue

The eighth skin in the game is the Penance of Virtue. To unlock this skin you need to find three armor pieces scattered around The Third Sin DLC areas. The pieces you need to find are:

1. Fragment of Helm of Virtue (behind secret wall on left side at bottom of room)
2. Fragment of Leg of Virtue (behind secret wall left side at bottom of room)
3. Urn of the Penitent of Virtue

I have shown all three locations in the screenshots above. They are in Stone Entrails, Geometry of Knowledge, and The Vibrating of the Organs.

Upon collecting all three of the pieces listed above, you will unlock the Penance of Virtue skin.

How to Equip/Change Skins

You can equip skins in Blasphemous 2 through a couple of different methods:

1. On the Main Menu screen select Extras. On the Extras screen scroll down to Skin Selector and then equip the skin you want to rock.
2. In-game pause and go to Settings. In Settings go to Skin Selector and then equip the skin you want to rock.

That’s all you need to know about how to get all of the different skins in Blasphemous 2. With these skins you will be able to customize your Penitent One to be more unique!

The Perfidy – Stone Entrails

The Perfidy Altarpiece is located in the Stone Entrails area. Before you can reach it, ensure you have the Broken Ring of the Sealed Eyes which allows you to open the locked gates throughout the area.

To get this Altarpiece make your way to the room marked on the map above. Open the gate at the bottom and continue right into the next room. Complete the platforming sequence in the next room to reach the chest at the top. Inside is the altarpiece.

What Does The Perfidy Do?

The effectiveness of the servant accompanying the Penitent One increases according to the Fervour accumulated by the latter. The greater the Fervour, the greater the promptness of his servant.

Eliseo – Stone Entrails

The Eliseo Altarpiece is located in the Stone Entrails area. Before you can reach it, ensure you have the Embrujo and have cleared out the source of the purple cloud.

Once you’ve done both make your way to the room marked above. In this room make your way to the left corner. You will see a ledge you can drop down. Drop down and use the Embrujo to reach the ledge along the left wall.

After you reach the ledge. Hit the wall to the left. This will reveal a hidden doorway. Go through it. Complete the combat challenge and continue left to find the Eliseo Altarpiece in a chest.

What Does Eliseo Do?

Increase base Embrujo damage by +15%.

Lady of the Mist – Usurped Halls

The Lady of the Mist Altarpiece is located in the Usurped Halls area. Before you can reach it, ensure you have the Embrujo.

Go to the long vertical room to the right of the highlighted room above. In this room make your way up. You will see a ledge on your left with a statue and some red cloth. Go onto this ledge and destroy the wall to the left. Head into the next room to find the chest with the piece inside.

What Does Lady of the Mist Do?

Defeating enemies increases the damage caused by all weapons gradually up to a maximum level. This increase is lost completely if you die, receive damage or rest at a Prie-Dieu.

The Ascension – Geometry of Knowledge

The Ascension Altarpiece is located in the Geometry of Knowledge area. Make your way to the map location shown above.

In this room there is a ladder you can hit to move. Move it all the way to the left so you can reach the treasure chest on the ledge above. Climb up to it and open it to get this item.

What Does The Ascension Do?

By performing Passage of Ash, the Penitent One releases a shockwave that inflicts damage on enemies.

The Grief – The Vibrating of the Organs

The Grief Altarpiece is located in the The Vibrating of the Organs area. Make your way to the elevator shaft at the map location shown above.

Go to the bottom of the shaft and get on the ledge on the right. Destroy the secret wall. Go into the next room and use the roofs to reach the item about halfway up.

What Does The Grief Do?

Grants invulnerability while using the Bile Flasks.

The Judicious One – The Vibrating of the Organs

The Judicious One Altarpiece is located in the The Vibrating of the Organs area. To reach it head to the elevator shaft and follow the red route I have shown on the map above.

Once you reach the highlighted room, use the switch to make the wolf head appear. Use it to swing to the platform in the middle of the room. On the platform is the item.

What Does The Judicious One Do?

Increases Embrujo Unholy damage by +15%.

Cartography of the Bones – The Vibrating of the Organs

The Cartography of the Bones Altarpiece is located in the The Vibrating of the Organs area. To reach it get the elevator running and then make your way to the top of the elevator shaft.

Ride the elevator down one stop (if needed) then platform your way back up. Call the elevator and jump on top of it as it rises up. Jump off the elevator onto the ledge with the treasure chest on it.

What Does the Cartography of the Bones Do?

Enemy attacks that would knock down the Penitent One will now cause a knockback.

Inner Voice – The Vibrating of the Organs

The Inner Voice Altarpiece is located in the The Vibrating of the Organs area. To reach it go to the room marked on the map above.

In this room make your way down until you see a wolf head you can hook onto leading up to the right. Use it to reach the chest with the item inside it.

What Does the Inner Voice Do?

Wail of the Flame use less of the gauge’s power.

Crescencia – The Vibrating of the Organs

The Crescencia Altarpiece is located in the The Vibrating of the Organs area. To reach it head to the map location shown above. At this location look for a ledge on the left side of the room with a lantern on it. Destroy the wall to the left here and go through it.

Make your way left through this room so you are outside the castle. At the end you will see a hole and a chain below you. Jump down so you are aligned with the chain. You will fall to a platform below. On it is the item.

What Does the Crescencia Do?

Servants inflict contact damage on enemies.

Piece of Cracked Ceramic 1: Usurped Halls

The first Piece of Cracked Ceramic is located in the Usurped Halls. It is in the room to the right of where you meet Eliseo. It is on the ground along the path.

Piece of Cracked Ceramic 2: Stone Entrails

The second Piece of Cracked Ceramic is located in the Stone Entrails. It is located in the large vertical room to the left of the first Prie Dieu. It is on a ledge in the top left corner. Requires Embrujo to reach it.

Piece of Cracked Ceramic 3: Geometry of Knowledge

The third Piece of Cracked Ceramic is located in Geometry of Knowledge. It is located in the large rectangular room in the bottom right of the area. Make your way to the bottom right corner of this room and destroy the fake wall there to get it.

Piece of Cracked Ceramic 4: Geometry of Knowledge

The fourth Piece of Cracked Ceramic is located in Geometry of Knowledge. Make your way to the fast travel room in the top of the area. In the room go right. Destroy the fake wall and go through the door. In the next room you will find the item.

What Does the Ceramic Offering Unlock?

Upon collecting all four of the Piece of Cracked Ceramic items you will receive the Ceramic Offering. This offering can be turned in now, or later when you have the other two.

Giving this offering unlocks the Offering of Consecrated Pottery which is for the Breastplate of Mourning Servant.

Piece of Rusted Silver 1: Stone Entrails

The first Piece of Rusted Silver is in the Stone Entrails. It is located in the large vertical room on the left side of the area. To reach it you need to complete a short platforming segment. It requires Embrujo.

Piece of Rusted Silver 2: Stone Entrails

The second Piece of Rusted Silver is in the Stone Entrails. It becomes accessible after you complete the objective for the area (pulling the blue pin out of the lover’s statue). It is on the ledge beneath the door leading to the statue room.

Piece of Rusted Silver 3: Stone Entrails

The third Piece of Rusted Silver is in the Geometry of Knowledge. Go to the room highlighted above. Push the ladder to the right and use it to reach the ledge in the upper right side of the room.

From the ledge use Embrujo to hook to the ledge above you. Use Embrujo to make your way to the left corner of the room where the item is located.

Piece of Rusted Silver 4: The Vibrating of the Organs

The fourth Piece of Rusted Silver is in the The Vibrating of the Organs. Go to the room highlighted above. In this room use the gate control to open the gate to the left. Go into the unlocked area and double jump up to the ledge on your right to reach the item.

What Does the Silver Offering Unlock?

Upon collecting all four of the Piece of Rusted Silver items you will receive the Silver Offering. This offering can be turned in now, or later when you have the other two.

Giving this offering unlocks the Consecrated Silver Offering which is for the Silver Tears Servant.

Old Piece of Gold 1: Stone Entrails

The first Old Piece of Gold is located in the Stone Entrails. It is in the room highlighted above. When you enter the room stay on the upper edge. Walk left until you reach the gate/gate switch. On the ground is the item.

Old Piece of Gold 2: Geometry of Knowledge

The second Old Piece of Gold is located in the Geometry of Knowledge. It is in the room highlighted above. When you enter the room stay on the upper edge. Walk left until you reach the gate/gate switch. On the ground is the item.

Old Piece of Gold 3: Geometry of Knowledge

The third Old Piece of Gold is located in the Geometry of Knowledge. It is in the room highlighted above. After you clear the purple cloud source you can access the upper part of this room. Make your way behind the locked gate to get this item.

Old Piece of Gold 4: The Vibrating of the Organs

The fourth Old Piece of Gold is located in the The Vibrating of the Organs. It is in the room highlighted above. Inside this room use Embrujo to pull yourself along the wolf heads at the bottom of the room. They will lead you to a ledge with the item on it.

What Does the Gold Offering Unlock?

Upon collecting all four of the Old Piece of Gold items you will receive the Gold Offering. This offering can be turned in now, or later when you have the other two.

Giving this offering unlocks the Offering of Consecrated Gold which is for the Moonchild Servant.

What to Do With The Offerings and What They Unlock

Once you’ve completed one or all of the offerings you can turn them in to receive a reward. To do this go to the room to the left of where you met Eliseo in the Usurped Halls (marked on your map with an offering table icon).

In this room go up to the offering table and interact with it. You can give it any of the completed offerings you have. Each offering you deliver rewards you with a different Servant:

Upon unlocking all three of these Servants you will unlock the Chorus of the Servants achievement/trophy. There is another achievement tied to these called Unbreakable Bond. This tasks you with level up a Servant to max Level 4.

If you are looking to further improve your Servants powers you will want to grab The Third Sin Altarpieces. Some of these pieces provide additional passive buffs to Servants.

How to Start The Third Sin

To start The Third Sin, make your way to the City of the Blessed Name. Head to the room to the right of Our Lady of the Chalices (the health upgrade NPC). Double-jump up to the ledge on the right and pass through the door into the next room.

Walk over to the coffin in this room and interact with it to claim the Lamp of the Whisper of the Mist. Once you pick it up and exit the room, a cutscene will trigger.

After the cutscene concludes, make your way to the Choir of Thorns. Go to the the Prie Dieu located at the very bottom of the area by the entrance to the Icebound Mausoleum.

From that Prie Dieu, enter the room to the right. Pass all the way through it and continue moving right until you reach the lake of mist. Interact with the chariot and select “Yes” to cross over. This will take you to the Castle of the Mist, the main area where the DLC content takes place.

Go To the Usurped Halls

From the dock head to the right. You will encounter a Prie Dieu on your path. Activate it and continue heading to the right into the next room. As you enter this room you will trigger a cutscene.

Continue right after the cutscene and walk up to the fountain. A mini-boss named Darbon will appear. Defeat Darbon then continue right into the Usurped Halls.

Usurped Halls

In the Usurped Halls make your way to the third room. In this room you will find the next Prie Dieu. Use it and continue to the right until you find a ladder in the floor you can use to go down. Go down the ladder.

In the lower room you walk to the right. You will meet Eliseo who is watching over the body of women. After Eliseo speaks to you, your map will be updated with three new objectives. These objective have to be completed before you can fight the DLC’s boss.

Purple Cloud

Walk to the right of Eliseo and enter the next room. Continue into the next room to the right. In this room you will encounter a Purple Cloud shrouding the path ahead and A Piece of Cracked Ceramic.

The Purple Cloud here will kill you if you stay inside of it for too long. There are a number of these clouds scattered around the DLC areas, which make traversal difficult. To continue we need to remove the source of this environmental trap, but before we can do that we need to get the DLC’s new weapon first.

How to Get the Embrujo

Head to the right and go through the Purple Cloud. Go up the ladder to the room above. In the room above make your way left into the next room to reach a locked gate shortcut. Open a shortcut back to the Prie Dieu.

Once the shortcut is unlocked continue heading to the right into the vertical room. Go up the room and take the first left. You will enter a new area called Geometry of Knowledge.

Make Your Way Through Geometry of Knowledge

In the first room of Geometry of Knowledge make your way up into the room above. In this next room use your weapon hit and move the ladder in the middle of the area to the left side of the room. Climb the ladder to reach the exit in the top left corner of the room.

Go to the very top of this long vertical room using the platforms and go through the top right exit into the next room. In this room you will find a Prie Dieu. Activate it then head down into the next room.

In the next room you will reach an elevator shaft, but the elevator is currently broken. In the shaft make your way up and into the room on your left. Complete the combat challenge in this room and head into the room to the left.

Drop into the Purple Cloud in this room and hit the ladder so it sits in the middle between you and the platforms on the left. Use it to reach the other side of the room. Make your way left then drop down and continue left into the next room.

Activate the ladder in this room to get a shortcut back to the earlier Prie Dieu. Continue left. Go left through this room into the next one. Hit the ladder in this room to reach the left side. Continue left into the next room.

In this room use the down attack of Ruego Al Alba to break the roots blocking the path below. Go down and use the bottom right exit. Head through this next room into the bottom right room.

Embrujo Got!

Push up at the entrance to reach a special room with a body hanging in the far left side of it. Hit the body with a weapon to knock it down. Doing this unlocks the Embrujo, which is a whip style weapon.

Important: The Embrujo is both a weapon and a traversal tool. Using it allows you to grapple to the wolf heads you see in areas and reach places you can’t without it. The game explains this mechanic to you the first time you have to use it!

Embrujo when equipped, takes the place of the Veredicto. It can be used to hit chiming bells you encounter. If you wish to switch back to the Veredicto simply access the Arsenal of Penitence.

Now that we have Embrujo it is time to clear up the Purple Clouds so we can open up more areas of the map and complete the objectives of the DLC.

Go to Stone Entrails

Go back to the large square room to the left. In this room you will learn how to use the Embrujo. Follow the prompts and make your way to the left side using it. In the bottom left open the gate. Continue left into the next room.

Follow the path through the rooms shown on the map above. We need to head back down into the Stone Entrails, specifically the room I have circled in the screenshot above.

In the highlighted room we can use the Embrujo to cross the spikes we couldn’t before. This allows us to go deeper into the Stone Entrails where the source of the Purple Clouds is located.

Make Your Way Through Stone Entrails

Cross the spikes and make your way into the room on the right. Go down in this room until you see an entrance on your right. Go into this room to find a Prie Dieu and a gate. Interact with both.

Head back out into the room to your left. Make your way to the left side and head into the room on the left. Use your Embrujo on the wolf heads here to reach the top left corner.

Open the gate then drop off the ledge and use Ruego Al Alba slam to destroy the roots blocking the path below. Go down into the room below. Head through this room into the one on the left.

Walk into the middle of this room and drop down into the Purple Cloud area. Slide into the area to your right to reset the debuff. Go to the left through the Purple Cloud and use the wolf head to go up. Continue into the next room.

Destroy the Source of the Purple Clouds

In the next room you will find a Prieu Dieu. Use it and then head left. Follow the path shown on the map above. Your goal here is to reach the room I have highlighted.

Inside the circled room is the source of the Purple Cloud which is a man in a coffin. Hit the man with a weapon to destroy him and clear up the clouds in all of the areas. Upon destroying it you will see a short cutscene, signifying the curse has been lifted.

Whew, now that was a journey! With that complete we can finally get into completing the DLC’s main objectives and one is close by!

Objective 1: Stone Entrails

The first objective can be found in the Stone Entrails. To reach it head back to the Prie Dieu. From there follow the path highlighted on the map above. Along the path you need to complete a few platforming rooms and a combat room before reaching the objective room.

In the objective room interact with the statue of the two lovers. Doing this causes you to pull out the blue pin. Upon pulling it out you will trigger a cutscene.

How to Get the Elevator Working

To advance to the next two objectives we need to make our way back to Geometry of Knowledge. Travel between the Prie Dieus or fast travel to return there. From there follow the path I have drawn to reach a room along the elevator shaft.

Inside this room you will find a gear mechanism that is stuck by a statue on it. Destroy the statue by hitting it. This will get the elevator running again and the nearby gate will open. With the elevator up and running we can reach the last two objectives!

Head through the gate and enter the elevator shaft room. Use the elevator to go up one stop. Exit the elevator and head to the room on the right to reach a Prie Dieu.

Make Your Way Through The Vibrating of the Organs and Get the Broken Ring of the Sealed Eyes

It may seem like you are close to the next objective, but you actually aren’t. The next section is fairly windy and not direct. You need to make your way through The Vibrating of the Organs to reach by taking a winding path.

I have mapped it out for you above. At the end of the path you will reach a Prie Dieu. To the right of it is the Broken Ring of the Sealed Eyes.

Important: The Broken Ring of the Sealed Eyes allows you to open the locked gates you have encountered during your journey through The Castle of Mist.

Objective 2: The Vibrating of the Organs (Top Right Corner)

Head through the gate to the to the right. Follow the map path shown above. You will need to make your way through the upper rooms of The Vibrating of the Organs to reach the top right corner objective room.

Before the objective room there is a combat room to complete. Complete it and then head right into the objective room.

In the objective room interact with the statue of the two lovers. Doing this causes you to pull out the blue pin. Upon pulling it out you will trigger a cutscene. Two down; one to go.

Objective 3: The Vibrating of the Organs (Top Left Corner)

Head to the nearest Prie Dieu/fast travel portal and use it to go back to the Prie Dieu where we got the Broken Ring of the Sealed Eyes.

From the Prie Dieu head to the left. Follow the path above. This path will lead you to the final objective room in the top left corner of The Vibrating of the Organs. This section is more platforming related, so be ready for that.

In the objective room interact with the statue of the two lovers. Doing this causes you to pull out the blue pin. Upon pulling it out you will trigger a cutscene.

Return to Eliseo

With all three objectives completed you will get a new objective to return to Eliseo. Head to the nearest Prie Dieu/fast travel and go back to the Usurped Halls.

Make your way down to Eliseo. Speak to him. He will tell you the Duchess has been freed, so his work is done. After telling you this he gives you the The Broken Ring of Sealed Lips which combines with the Broken Ring of the Sealed Eyes to create the Complete Ring of the Perfidy. This ring allows you to access the boss fight room.

Boss Fight: Crescenia, Duchess of the Sleeping Face

To reach the boss fight room head back to the Prie Dieu in The Vibrating of the Organs where we got the Broken Ring of the Sealed Eyes.

In the middle of this room is a door that is now open. Head through the door to start the boss fight against Crescenia, Duchess of the Sleeping Face.

The video above from our Hold To Reset YouTube channel shows me completing the boss fight. Upon completing this fight you will unlock the Atonement of Sins achievement/trophy and will receive the Crescensia’s Veil item.

Where to Buy Horses in Story Mode

To get new horses you can buy them from the different Stables located around the world. These horse related stores are marked on your mini-map with a horseshoe icon.

As you advance through the game’s storyline Stables will offer new and better horses. The Stables and their notable horses area listed in the table below.

How to Get Horses in the Wild (Breaking a Wild Horse)

If you don’t want to buy a horse from a Stable you can tame Wild Horses by breaking them. This process is a bit more effort but saves you money. To tame a horse follow the steps below:

1. Locate a Wild Horse: Use your binoculars from a distance to scout wild horses. Equip your Lasso or prepare to approach quietly on foot.
2. Approach the Horse: Walk forward incredibly slowly while locking onto the target horse (L2 on PlayStation / LT on Xbox). Keep your eye on the Calm Meter in the bottom-right corner of your screen. If the bar starts to drop, stop moving completely and press the square button (PS4/PS5) or X button (Xbox) to soothe the animal.
3. Mount the Horse: Once you are close enough to touch the animal, press the mount button to hop onto its back.
4. The Taming Minigame: The horse will immediately try to buck you off. Hold the Left Analog Stick down and tilt it in the opposite direction the horse is turning. If the horse veers left, pull your stick down and to the right. Keep adjusting your balance dynamically until the horse calms down and you see the “Bonding Level 1” notification.

Taming wild horses takes a bit of practice, so don’t worry if you fail at first. As you tame more wild horses you will get use to how the system works.

How to Change Your Main Horse

Changing your primary mount requires shifting your saddle. Your active horse is always the one carrying main gear, stowed pelts, and long weapons.

If you tame a wild horse or acquire a temporary mount during a world encounter, you can make it your permanent primary horse on the fly.

1. Approach the new horse and hold the lock-on button (L2 / LT).
2. Remove your saddle by pressing and holding the Up D-Pad button while standing right next to your old horse.
3. Walk over to the new horse and press Up D-Pad again to place the saddle on its back.

In this mission, you take young Jack Marston down to the Dakota River for a quiet afternoon of fishing. Once the mission wraps up, the fishing rod is permanently added to your item wheel (found in the Items tab under the binoculars slot).

You cannot equip the fishing rod anywhere you like. The rod will remain greyed out in your weapon wheel unless Arthur is standing directly at the edge of a viable, deep enough body of water (like a river, lake, or swamp). If you can’t select it, take a few steps closer to the shoreline.

Every weapon in RDR2 has a condition rating that degrades over time through use and environmental exposure. Dirt, rain, mud, and heavy shooting all wear weapons down. As condition drops, you’ll notice reduced damage, slower fire rate, longer reload times, and occasional misfires.

The game notifies you when a weapon drops to poor condition, but performance starts declining before that point. You can check condition at any time by opening the Weapon Wheel (hold L1/LB) and hovering over a gun — the condition bar is shown beneath the weapon stats.

Cleaning weapons is technically optional, but leaving guns in poor condition during difficult fights is a real liability. Building the habit of cleaning after heavy use sessions is worth it.

• General Stores — most General Stores carry it in their provisions or accessories section.
• Looting — commonly found on enemy bodies, inside buildings, and in lockboxes while exploring.

How to Use Gun Oil

1. Open the Weapon Wheel by holding L1 (PS) or LB (Xbox).
2. Hover over the weapon you want to clean.
3. Press R3 (click the right stick) to open the cleaning menu.
4. Select Clean. One bottle will be consumed and the weapon fully restored.

Pro Tip: Keep at least three bottles of Gun Oil in your saddlebags at all times. At $1.50 each they’re practically free. The Valentine Gunsmith is the most convenient early-game source — stock up every time you pass through town.

13. How to Repair Weapons at a Gunsmith

When you’re in town and don’t want to use your Gun Oil stock, any Gunsmith can clean your weapons for a small fee. This is also a required step before customizing — a weapon must be in perfect condition before a Gunsmith will apply any upgrades.

Categories include Metals (finish and color of metal parts), Engravings (decorative patterns on metal), Carvings (patterns on wooden parts), Varnish (color of wooden components), and Leather Wrapping (color of grip or stock wraps).

Important: Unlike performance upgrades, cosmetic upgrades are not permanently tied to the weapon if it is lost or dropped. If you pick up a weapon from the ground, it will not have any cosmetics previously applied. Be cautious about heavy cosmetic spending on weapons you might swap out.

16. Weapon Maintenance Tips

• Always carry Gun Oil. Keep three or more bottles in your saddlebags. They’re cheap and you’ll regret not having them when you’re deep in the wilderness.
• Clean before you customize. A weapon must be in perfect condition before a Gunsmith will apply any upgrades. Save time by cleaning at the counter first.
• Loot bodies for Gun Oil. Enemies frequently carry Gun Oil. Thorough looting after combat means you’ll rarely need to buy it.
• High Honor = store discounts. Maintaining high Honor gives you up to 50% off at Gunsmiths and General Stores, which makes upgrading and stocking ammo significantly cheaper throughout the game.

Gold bars are the single most valuable lootable item in the game — each one sells to a Fence for $500. There are over a dozen spread across the map, many in abandoned locations that require no combat whatsoever. This is the fastest way to get a large sum of money early in the game.

The most accessible gold bar early on is inside the Limpany Sheriff’s Office, just south of Horseshoe Overlook. The town burned down, but the lock box under the sheriff’s desk still contains a gold bar. You can grab it as soon as Chapter 2 opens up.

How to Get the Limpany Gold Bar

1. Ride to Limpany — the burned-down town south of Horseshoe Overlook, just north of Flat Iron Lake.
2. Enter the ruined Sheriff’s Office and look under the desk for a lock box.
3. Open it to collect the gold bar.
4. Ride to any Fence (the nearest is Seamus at Emerald Ranch) and sell it for $500.

Fences are the only buyers for gold bars — don’t try to sell them at a general store. The Fence at Emerald Ranch is unlocked during the mission Pouring Forth Oil in Chapter 2.

Treasure map chains are some of the most rewarding activities in the game. Each map leads you to a cache that usually contains gold bars, cash, or valuable trinkets. The Jack Hall Gang Treasure is the most beginner-friendly chain. The first map can be bought from the treasure hunter Maximo, who you’ll find near Flatneck Station in Chapter 2. Follow each map in sequence to claim a reward of two gold bars at the final cache.

How to Complete a Treasure Map Chain

1. Find or purchase the first map in a chain. Maximo near Flatneck Station sells the Jack Hall Gang Map 1 for $10.
2. Study the map carefully — it shows a rough sketch of a real landmark in the game world.
3. Ride to the location and search the area for the cache (look for disturbed ground or a rock formation).
4. Collect the contents and move on to the next map in the chain.

If you’re struggling to find a cache, dismount and use Eagle Eye (L3 + R3). It highlights interactive objects in the environment, including buried treasure spots.

3. Hunt Legendary Animals

• Available from: Chapter 2
• Repeatable: No (16 total)
• Earnings: $50–$200 per legendary pelt

Hunting is one of the most enjoyable ways to earn money in RDR2, and Legendary Animals are the premium targets. There are 16 Legendary Animals in story mode, and each one drops a unique pelt that can’t be lost — even if your horse is killed, the pelt is automatically sent to the Trapper.

Sell the Legendary Pelts and carcasses to the Trapper for cash, and use the materials to craft powerful outfits and trinkets — many of which permanently boost your cores. The Legendary Bear Pelt is especially valuable, both for cash and for the Bear Head Hat you can craft from it.

The Legendary Tatanka Bison and Legendary Coyote are two of the easiest targets early in the game. Check your map for the paw print icons that appear once you’ve traveled close enough to a Legendary Animal’s territory.

4. Complete Bounties

• Available from: Chapter 2
• Repeatable: Yes
• Earnings: $50–$150 per target

Bounty hunting is a steady, repeatable source of income throughout the game. Head to any Sheriff’s Office as you discover new towns to pick up bounty posters. Each poster activates a mission with a marked search area for the target.

Always try to bring your target in alive — you’ll earn significantly more than bringing them in dead. Use your lasso to hogtie them, drape them over your horse, and ride back to the Sheriff’s Office or jail to collect your reward.

Some bounty targets are accompanied by gang members. Clear the gang first before attempting to lasso the target, and always loot the bodies before leaving — you can easily add another $20–30 from enemy loot on top of the bounty reward.

5. Rob Trains & Stagecoaches

• Available from: Chapter 2
• Repeatable: Yes
• Earnings: $100–$500+ per robbery

Train and stagecoach robberies are the most outlaw approach to making money, and they can be very lucrative. Passenger trains often carry wealthy travelers with watches, jewelry, and cash. Express stagecoaches can carry strongboxes with hundreds of dollars inside.

Be mindful of the bounty system — robbing in populated areas will raise your wanted level. Keep robberies to remote stretches of track, wear your bandana to hide your identity, and pay off your bounty at a Post Office after each major haul.

How to Rob a Train

1. Find a train on the tracks (check your map for the train icon, or wait near a station).
2. Ride alongside the train on horseback and board it by jumping on.
3. Work through the cars, robbing passengers at gunpoint. Target well-dressed passengers first — they carry watches worth $15–30 each.
4. Blow the safe in the rear car with dynamite and collect the cash inside.
5. Escape and ride away from the search area to lose your wanted level.

6. Loot Everything, Always

• Available from: Chapter 1
• Repeatable: Yes
• Earnings: Highly variable — adds up fast

A large number of players leave significant money on the table simply by not looting every body and every drawer they encounter. After any combat encounter, take the time to loot every enemy — bodies carry cash, jewelry, tonics, and ammo that all add up over time.

Explore every abandoned cabin and house you come across. Drawers, wardrobes, and chests frequently contain cash and valuables. Sell everything you can’t use to a General Store or Fence — even a handful of gold rings and pocket watches can net you $30–50 per haul.

During certain story missions, a cutscene triggers as soon as you interact with your allies — and you’ll lose the chance to loot nearby bodies. Always loot enemies before approaching your fellow gang members at the end of a mission encounter.

7. Maintain High Honor

• Available from: Chapter 1
• Repeatable: Ongoing
• Benefit: Up to 50% off at stores

This one doesn’t directly earn you money — but it saves you a significant amount. Keeping Arthur’s Honor level high (by helping strangers, paying your debts, and avoiding unnecessary killing) unlocks progressively larger discounts at shops across the world.

At maximum Honor, you’ll pay around half price at general stores, gunsmiths, and stables. Given how expensive horses, weapons, and upgrades can be, this effectively doubles the value of every dollar you earn. The Black Arabian horse in Saint Denis costs over $1,000 — but high-honor players pay closer to $700.

For most players, the quickest path to early wealth is: grab the Limpany gold bar in Chapter 2, complete the Jack Hall Gang treasure map chain, and run a few bounties while looting every enemy along the way. You’ll have several thousand dollars within a few hours — more than enough to buy the best horse and upgrade your camp with services like fast travel.
