Call of Duty WWII Sales Numbers Are Huge

Call of Duty WWII has been out for about a week now and Activision has shared sales numbers for their new World War II shooter. In its first three days of release, Call of Duty: WWII sold twice as many units as last year’s Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

In terms of dollars, the first three days of Call of Duty: WWII generated more than $500 million in sell-through worldwide. Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg says the release of Call of Duty: WWII, “… was not only bigger than Thor: Ragnarok‘s, it was bigger than the opening weekends of both Thor and Wonder Woman combined.”

Alongside this huge dollar opening, Call of Duty: WWII set a couple of other milestones. On Playstation 4, the game set a day one record for digital full game sales. It also surpassed highest numbers of players on both current gen consoles and PC ever seen by Activision.

To conclude the announcement, Ceo Eric Hirshberg ensured players that Activision is “…committed to supporting the community with continuous improvements and new content.”
