The update released by Gearbox on June 24th was a big one. There were a ton of things added, tweaked, and changed in the close to 1 GB update. While I wont dive into the Borderlands 3 patch notes here, I will point out the major additions they added in it. The additions you should be aware of are:

  • Crossplay: Players on Xbox, Stadia, Steam, and Epic can now play with each other. There is an opt-in window that will appear when you login to the game.
  • Higher Level Cap: This update raises the game’s new level cap to 72.
  • Events: You can now enable/disable seasonal events at will from the Event’s Tab in game. The Revengence of Revenge of the Cartels is LIVE with new rewards.
  • Bug fixes galore.

These three major points are the big parts of the update. These additions add a little bit of everything for players of the popular looter-shooter. Both Crossplay and a Higher Level cap should get people playing the game again.
